My Holiday's

In my Holiday's I went to Clendon to go to my uncle Mana’s house. I went food shopping with my uncle and my aunt. My papa Ken and nana live nearby to my uncle’s place. I played with my lego set and stayed home half the holidays. The other half of the holidays I went to the west and stayed at my papa John’s house. He sings at the shops and people give him money.  I went to the wave pools in the west with my papa John. At the wave  pools I went down the big blue slide and I splashed the water. I was just  swimming  and then the siren rang because the siren meant that the waves were coming, the wave came and I had to swim through it. After I got  changed my papa John and I went and got a burger and hot chips for us to eat and enjoy.

I felt very tired after swimming and much more hungrier. I enjoyed every moment that day.

On Tuesday we had cross country practice.We had to run around the school field twice I thought I can do this.It felt cold and my heart was booming fast. I kept running and made it to the end.I was tired and my legs were shaking but I felt warm.

I made a Cuboid!!!

My Cuboid has 6 faces 12 edges and 8 vertices and Mrs Raj taught us how to measure and make a net to create  a 3 dimensional shape.
Boxes are made to hold or store things.
Boxes are used for packaging.
I enjoyed making a cuboid it was fun.
I was learning about 3d shapes and created one.

Henry the explorer

The searchers could not find Henry and Angus they were lost in the jungle for 60 years and Henry was hungry.Henry was 43.The biggest jungle had bugs that could kill people in 10 minutes and all those things that could kill, so Henry and Angus had to be careful or Henry will die or become Tarzan  but luckily he did  not turn

into Tarzan and he did not die.Tarzan made a treehouse and became part of the jungle.

1. How does Thanh and his family look after the Thung Chai boat? Thanh's family ceped the thung chai and it list in 5 or 6 years.

2.  The boat is made from natural resources. The Basket boats are made of Bamboo resin in the special tree.

3.  Find pictures of all of the resources needed to make and care for this boat. Bamboo and some sticky resin from a special tree.

4.   Would we be able to make these boats here in New Zealand? Yes because you just need bamboo and sticky resin.

Actions speck louder then words

My Actions speak louder than words because when you say that you will use their game and you do it our Actions were speaking louder than our words your actions shows that you what you said that is why your actions speak louder than your words and so they do not think you will lie they know that you will till the turf and that they will believe you.

SCIENCE WEEK

 SCIENCE WEEK TERM 2 WEEK 10 OF 2015

Term 2 Week 10 of 2015 of Monday Mrs Raj came  to room 7 and showed us the  3 states of matter liquid solid gas.

On Tuesday Mrs Parker and Room 7 made bread and we learnt about yeast turning into carbon dioxide.

Then on Wednesday room 7 went to room 10. We looked at L and P, sprite, vinegar, and water. There were 4 groups and 1 group had water and 3 groups had vinegar and we put the apple into the liquid and vinegar won and next we made scones.  

On Thursday Room 7 went to Room 9 and we put the sugar spoon and salt spoon on the candle. The sugar camouflage to brown water the salt went black and boiled.

After lunch we went to room 8 and mix baking soda with lemon juice and it went up.

Inquiry Roadshow.

Today at Glenbrae School had our inquiry raodshow. This is when all the classes share what we have learned during the term. We share our learning by creating presentations, posters, diagrams and hands-on activities.    
I enjoyed being a tuakana and showing the young Room 4 students around the roadshow.

Long weekend

On Saturday we had a 4 day long weekend because on Monday was the Queen's Birthday and on Tuesday it was teachers only day.and on Sunday I went to my uncle and aunt's house I played green lantern is a PlayStation game I had to fight robots and aliens and there was secret hidden doors somewhere  in the walls and doors locked it was cool and fun to.

Next me my uncle and aunt went to countdown to buy food for us and the two dogs the two dogs name was  ice and killer ice was a girl and killer was a boy we went to rainbow end we went on the the dumper cars it was fun but the scary ride was the farafall we did not go on it it was too scary.

On Saturday I went to the pools with my uncle and aunty it was cool hi up me and my uncle was racing to swim and  go the wall and and then we go back  it was indoor and I hold my breath and went under the water  I was on my uncle's back and he went under the water and I went under the water to on my uncle mana`s back  that was fun to.

Positive digital footprint

In ten years time, Mrs.Parker and Mrs.Raj will see my name as a illustrator for children's books. I will be a good person and have a clean positive digital footprint.

BE$T HOLIDAYS

In the holidays I went to the movies and I watch fast and fairest 7   it was cool.

I went to my papa`s house and watch home it was cool to.

I went to my uncle's house we went to the easter show I went on cool rides it was fun.

I went to the pool`s and we war tar for 12 hours it was cool.

I played on the computer and next I went on the play station 3

and played mine craft and black ops 2 and I played on super mechs.

Room 7 went to Basketball we saw Coach Chanel and we played games. The first was called Dribble Tag, the person, with the ball was in and the people with no ball had to speed walk away from the kids with the ball and the people with the ball had to speed walk to tag the people with no ball.

Another game was called, Octopus, it was different than we play it because the people that were in had to dribble the ball and tag. If you got tagged you are seaweed and you have to take one step to try to tag people that are running past you.

The after that was called Ship Shark Shore. We have to stay in the middle and if Coach Chanel says ship you go to the right and if coach says shark you can go either way if coach says shore you go to the left.

Today we did a kahoot quiz about the parts in the body i really liked this kahoot quiz it was cool doing the quiz.

Swimming Lessons

On Thursday morning Room 7 went to the swimming pools. There were instructors teaching kids how to swim.

First we swam with the flutter boards. We had to put our hands on the flutter board and kick with our legs.
